School holidays.

Well the girls and boys left this morning for a short break near Port Douglas, north of Cairns. The weather is perfect for a beach holiday and they said (via phone) they had spent the remains of today wandering the beach alongside the ocean. Tomorrow morning Justine is taking the three boys to have breakfast with the birds at the Rainforest Bird sanctuary in Port Douglas, Josh is so excited as he has been there before, so I would guess he will be a very big KNOW ALL!!! In the afternoon they intend to drive to Mossman Gorge which is an incredibly beautiful spot, but extremely dangerous at the moment since all the flooding - so no swimming. On Wednesday they will be travelling back to Atherton, via Cairns where they will take in a movie (a school holiday treat). I am on the other hand left to feed up all the dogs and cats (including other peoples who have also gone away). Not feeling too chipper today, headache and tickly sore throat so am hoping it will just go away. It is also Williams 9th birthday on Thursday 10th so have spent an incredible amount of time and mess today making him a card. Probably would have been easier to have brought one - but not as nice!!!! I intend to do some scrap-booking tonight on my album of my holiday last year to Broome, WA. It is coming along quite nicely, and so far am very happy with it. The weather at the moment is just perfect, lovely warm sunny days and nippy, crisp nights. The weather man tonight said not to forget the CYCLONE SEASON doesn't end officially until end of April - spoilt sport.
